Do's

CLEAN HAIR! Wash 1-2 days prior, as natural oils help to protect your scalp. Come with your hair free of styling products, sweat, or other buildup.

REFERENCE PICS! Show your stylist a few pictures of your goal hair color/style. What do you like and dislike? Communication is key!

HAIR HISTORY! Be honest about your hair history, including any previous dyes, henna, perms, relaxers, etc. What's your typical hair care routine at home?

CLOTHING! Wear comfortable, casual clothing to stay cozy while you wait. Darker colors help hide accidental color drips, while button-up shirts allow for easy removal without damaging your brand new hair style.

ACTIVITIES! Bring an activity for entertainment during longer appointment sessions. Whether you're studying, working, or gaming, we don't judge. Yes, you can bring a snack too!

AFTERCARE! Familiarize yourself with color safe products in order to ensure your hair service lasts as long as possible. Hair masks and conditioning routines also help to restore and moisturize your hair after chemical services. If you're not sure on the best products for your hair type, your stylist can help!

Don'ts

DIRTY HAIR! Heavy styling products, build-up, or greasy/sweaty hair can prevent chemicals from penetrating the hair follicle, making them less effective.

ROOT SPRAY! Root sprays and other temporary colors can create an unwanted barrier between your hair and chemical services.

OVERWASHING! Avoid over washing your hair in the week prior to your appointment, as this can strip your hair of its natural oils that protect the follicle and result in dryness.

CLOTHING! Don't wear your favorite outfit! Although our salon capes cover the majority of your clothes, accidents happen! Your stylist also might ask you to remove bulky hoodies, jackets or big earrings that might get in the way during your service.

HEAT STYLING! Avoid excessive heat styling in the week leading up to your appointment date to prevent dryness and maintain optimal hair health for your service.

AT-HOME COLORING! At-home hair coloring products in between services, such as box dyes or henna, can produce unpredictable results during professional coloring sessions, such as unwanted color tones, inconsistent lifting, or even damage. However, if you've previously colored your hair at home, please don't be afraid to inform your stylist before your service!!
